Eid Mubarak!

Here’s hoping that you’re all enjoying a nice, relaxing Eid weekend! Eid Mubarak!

Well, enjoy the break as once September kicks off you won’t have time to relax. It’s back to normal working hours and the start of the event season in Abu Dhabi.

First up is the Aloft Run for Children on 9th September – the perfect opportunity for you to run off all of those iftars and sohours. Held in the blissfully cool surroundings of ADNEC, the run is open to one and all, with distances starting from just 6km. All the money raised will be given to needy schools in Pakistan and Romania so it’s all for a good cause.

Revved up and raring to go, the 2011/12 football season kicks off on 10th September with the Etisalat Super Cup Final between Al Jazira and Al Wahda.

Love footy but prefer your balls oblong shaped? Then head out for the first EVER Abu Dhabi Rugby Derby on 23rd September at Al Ghazal Golf Club. Cheer on Abu Dhabi old boys the Harlequins or root for the new kids on the block, the Abu Dhabi Saracens. This will be a game to remember.

Not into sports? Then you’ll be pleased to know that FLASH Entertainment are kicking off the concert season again, this time hosting the one and only Liam Gallagher and his band at the FLASH Forum on 16th September for what promises to be an eye opening evening.

For those looking for something a little more chilled don’t forget to check out the new Monte Carlo Beach Club on Saadiyat Island this month. We predict the party will really be getting started with the launch of the Must Have Soul series towards the end of September (date to be confirmed) – time to dust off your bikinis and board shorts!
