Happy holidays

Whether you’re reading this while you’re packing your suitcase for a holiday or you’re settling in to enjoy a few days off at home with family and friends, the team here at Abu Dhabi Week wish you all a very happy Eid Al Fitr!

We’ve already been preparing for the holiday here at Turret Towers, scouring the malls of Abu Dhabi for the best Eid gifts (page 31) and accessories for traditional celebration of Chaand Raat (page 18).

Even if you’re not planning to celebrate Eid and you’re just looking forward to time away from the office, take a trip down to Madinat Zayed mall to soak up the festive atmosphere and buy some traditional gifts or head out and enjoy one of the last iftars or sohours of the season. See our review of Emirates Palace’s sohour (page 25) – certainly one of the most opulent this year.

Also, if you haven’t already done so, get yourself down to the Radisson Blu or Park Inn on Yas Island to pick up your charity box for The Box Appeal. It’s your chance to give back to those who need it most by filling a small box with a list of everyday items, such as toothpaste, a T-shirt, cap and shaving cream. Collect your box, fill it with the items and return it to the hotel – it’s that simple.

Whatever you’re up to this week, enjoy the last few days of Ramadan and have a fantastic Eid Al Fitr!
