So many different hats

This weekend will see the team at Abu Dhabi Week take a seat on the judging panel at the Yas Rock Factory, jump into the ring at the Corporate Contender curtain-raiser for the Abu Dhabi Fighting Championship, leap into the mosh pit at Thirty Seconds to Mars and limber up for the second Abu Dhabi Triathlon.

If you ever doubted that our team was out there experiencing all the Emirate has to offer so we could tell you all about it then I would like to see you all eat your hats!

We’ll be rocking out to the six bands that made the final draw in FLASH Entertainment’s facebook search. We can’t reveal our favourites, but we can tell you that there’s a real mix of talent set to perform on the night, from core metal and funky guitar bands to middle of the road rock acts … and it’s free!

Fast-forward to Friday and our intrepid sports reporter Jon ‘Maverick’ Muller will be strutting into the ring at Zayed Sports City’s Tennis Stadium to tear down his opponent Hayden ‘Boom Boom’ Smith. Tickets are only AED 50 and all the proceeds go to charity so head on down and cheer him on.

Friday night sees the excitement build for Thirty Seconds to Mars with the Red Bull X-Fighters tearing up the asphalt in the FLASH Forum car park prior to the concert, which promises to be an “insane” night for This is War fans (according to guitarist Tomo).

If that wasn’t enough we’ll be down at the Corniche waving on team Abu Dhabi as they battle it out against the world’s best triathletes.

OK, we’re not actually taking part, but we’ll be charging over the finish line in spirit!

Go team Abu Dhabi Week!
