So much on!

With only one more issue to go before Christmas, we’re starting to wonder how we’re going to fit everything in!

This week sees us don our leather trousers and red bandana in homage to one of the gods of rock, Axl Rose, who will be bringing the crowds to their ‘kn-kn-kn-kn-kn-knees-knees’ tonight at Yas Arena. Abu Dhabi Week has five pairs of tickets to give away to the Guns N’ Roses concert, so for your chance to win, see page 7.

All rocked out, we’ll be heading to Yas Plaza to watch Abu Dhabi’s best chefs battle it out, alongside Celebrity Chef Antony Worrall Thompson, who’ll be delighting visitors with his usual witty banter whilst cooking up a storm no doubt. Check out our interview with the cooking legend, also on page 7.

If cooking isn’t your thing then Yas Links is hosting a family golf day on Saturday (18th), with clinics hosted by pro-golfers so you can brush up on your swing. Or if that sounds too energetic, then head on down to the inaugural Korean Film Series at Abu Dhabi Theater (opposite Marina Mall) on Sunday for an open screening of The Grand Chef at 8pm.

Feeling more adventurous? Then take a trip out to the annual Al Dhafra Camel Festival (16th-25th December); see our guide to the event, page 12. With a camel beauty contest, camel races and camel auctions, poetry contests, a traditional market for Emirati handicrafts, traditional food and the festival’s annual photography competition, there promises to be something to interest everyone. Why not make a weekend of it and camp out? A range of safari/guiding companies will be on hand to offer you advice on the best spots to pitch your tents.

And if you still have any energy after all of that there are plenty of activities and special Christmas-themed brunches and dinners on offer at the city’s hotels. Check our listings at AbuDhabiWeek.ae for inspiration.

So all that’s left to say is rock on and have a great week!
