Glam it up

Abu Dhabi Week loves an excuse to throw on our gladrags. And with a star-studded couple of weeks planned, it looks like we’ll be keeping our best frocks at the front of our wardrobes.

glamitup

From the official Amber Lounge Formula 1 parties that will take place on 12th and 14th November at the Hiltonia Beach Club (page 11), to intimate concerts at The Yas Hotel and high-energy gatherings at the FLASH Forum’s SKYBAR events, everyone will have the chance to get up-close-and-personal with the stars.
And while Amber Lounge will only be around for the 2010 Etihad Airways Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, the capital has a couple of chic new additions to its party scene up its sleeve, which are here to stay.

We’ll be looking forward to hanging out at new arrival Cipriani coming to the Yas Yacht Club. This chic venue oozes sophistication with an ultra glam interior and dedicated beverage area (page 12).

And that’s not the only new addition. FLASH Entertainment will be hosting SKYBAR Beirut at the opening of the FLASH Forum, a new, exclusive hang out on Yas Island (page 9).

While these venues promise plenty of mingling, we’ve been getting in on the action early and mixing with celebrity folk ahead of all the canapés and glass-clinking. With another addition to an already packed line-up of of stars performing as part of the intimate Yas Hotel Longitude Bar sets announced a couple of weeks back, we caught up with the extra-lovely Gabrielle to find out just what fans can expect from her performance. Read our interview on page 11.

Of course, all this socialising can be tiring stuff, so until next week, we’ll be hanging our gladrags up and preparing for the Formula 1 excitement. Look out for some extra special coverage next week.

Until then … enjoy the issue!
