The capital’s residents will soon be able to shoot one out of the park with the start of the new Abu Dhabi Softball League season. Beginning on Tuesday 24th September, the co-ed recreational slow-pitch league is open to adults 18 years old and over.
The league’s popularity has increased since its inception in January this year with the league lending out gloves, bats, balls and batting cages free of charge to its participants.
Speaking of the new season league commissioner Flo Caro says, “I’m overwhelmed with how the Abu Dhabi community has responded. Word has been spreading like wildfire, so we expect a big wave of new registrations.”
League games will be held weekly on Tuesday nights at Zayed Sports City from 7pm to 11pm until mid December. Interested players should check out the league’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/abudhabisoftball.
