First for women’s health |
![]() The HealthPlus Women’s Health Center, located in Al Karamah, is the first in a planned network of 20 premium outpatient centres. “Empowering women to manage their health and providing them with integrated health services across their lifespan leads us one step closer to ensuring that healthcare standards are significantly raised,” declared Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, MD and CEO of UE Medical, the developers behind HealthPlus. More specifically, “the Centre aims to address the shortage in sub-specialty services for women in Abu Dhabi,” said Majd Abu Zant, Chief Executive Officer of HealthPlus. “Through this unique model of care our experts will collaborate, keeping the patient at the centre for treatment, to ensure the best clinical outcomes for women facing complex gynaecological problems.” The centre provides a comprehensive range of specialty services including general obstetrics and gynaecology, maternal-foetal medicine, minimally invasive surgery, urogynaecology and reproductive medicine. UEMedical, an Abu Dhabi based healthcare investment and developer group, is aiming for “an integrated healthcare delivery system” that will include its flagship project, Danat Al Emarat Women and Children’s Hospital due for completion next year. All the Healthcare centres will promote community health awareness and education, and will support national programs in line with the initiatives of the Health Authority-Abu Dhabi.
