NOW In its fifth consecutive year, the Colours of Holi festival added a vibrant hue to Abu Dhabi’s Corniche, with a live DJ, a dhol (traditional drum) performance, a rain dance, a photo booth and a hand print station providing fantastic entertainment for all. Organised by the Indian Ladies Association (ILA), thousands of people gathered to celebrate this extravagant festival of colours hosted by Indian ambassador HETP Seetharam and his wife Deepa, who is also the chairperson of ILA. A wide selection of food and beverages, provided by various authentic Indian restaurants, was on hand too. Proceeds from tickets sales was pledged to provide “Holi” lunch for labourers.
