Excitement is building ahead of this year’s Formula 1 weekend as organisers announced the opening acts for the after-race concerts.

FLASH Entertainment, organisers of Yasalam, recently announced four of the Arab world’s biggest names in showbiz would kick off the series.

Tamer Hosny, Egyptian movie star and singer, Carole Samaha, award-winning Lebanese actress and musician, Emirati singer Fayez Al Saeed, and Palestinian Mohammed Assaf from ‘Arab Idol’ will take to the stage for a concert on 20th November.

“The announcement sets the tone for what is poised to be the best Yasalam yet,” said John Lickrish, CEO, FLASH Entertainment. “This year’s after-race concert series kicks off with the most distinguished Arabic artists in the region and race enthusiasts and music fans are in for a great show.”

“The remaining line up is yet to be announced and as every year, it will be the most illustrious artists in the world that will give memorable performances,” added Lickrish.

Yasalam, the largest city-wide entertainment series run by any F1 host city, brings the capital to life with a jam-packed programme of live concerts to coincide with the Grand Prix.

Tickets for the 2014 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which takes place from 21st to 23rd November at Yas Marina Circuit, are now on sale.

“We have enjoyed five successful Grand Prix events in Abu Dhabi, and people have come to expect top quality acts to perform year after year,” added Al Tareq Al Ameri, CEO, Yas Marina Circuit. “The fact that some of the biggest names in Middle East entertainment are adding to the list this year will reinforce our reputation as a host city that consistently delivers.”
