With the city back into full swing after the long hot summer, one UAE-based sports camp business is asking for volunteers to help get the kids of the capital up and active.

Gulf Star Sports is making its way down to the capital from Dubai, where it has enjoyed considerable success, to offer some active and exciting sports camps for the little athletes of Abu Dhabi.

With such high interest in Dubai and a clear demand for similar projects in the capital, the Gulf Star team is offering an abundance of activities throughout December for children aged three to 12 years old. But they need some local volunteers to help out.

On offer is coaching from P.A.S.S mini kicker’s football, karate, swimming, Capoeira, dance, tennis, drama and arts and crafts.

There will be three camps available, one at Repton Foundation School on Reem Island, one at American International on 29th Street and additionally one at Humpty Dumpty Nursery in Khalifa City A. The first course runs from Sunday 15th to Thursday 19th December, the second from Sunday 22nd to Tuesday 24th December and the third and final week is from Sunday 29th to Tuesday 31st December.

“It’s great to be in Abu Dhabi and even better that there is already a love for being active amongst the youth,” said Gulf Stars owner Matt Doran. “Our professional coaches offer a fun and safe environment so the children can maximise their time learning new skills and making new friends.”

Volunteers who wish to help out in the classes need to be over 16, active and enjoy the sports available. Anyone interested shold contact: [email protected]
