Indian restaurant Avasa has recently opened its doors at The Collection at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort. We loved the gulab juman stuffed with rose petals. These rosewater-scented syrupy mouthfuls look similar to the Arabic lugaimat but are not as sweet. AED 32, home delivery available.

The Yacht Club
The InterContinental’s Yacht Club have spiced up their sweet section with the addition
of four new ice cream flavours. Choose from chili chocolate, ginger fig, black sesame, and lemongrass and kaffir lime. Our taste buds were set alight with the unique combination
of hot chili with cold chocolate ice cream. AED 45.

Sho Cho
We couldn’t mention ice cream without also recommending the Souk Qaryat Al Beri’s Sho Cho. Try their red bean, ginger, or green tea ice cream, or better still order a scoop of all three. Best enjoyed on the outdoor terrace taking in the spectacular view. AED 35.
