If you like your lobster you might want to venture to the Fairways restaurant at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa on a Wednesday night and indulge – and we mean indulge.
The chefs have created a real crustacean feast with diners offered a sensational choice of Cegali, Atlantic and Omani lobster prepared in a multitude of adventurous ways. Now you could be a traditionalist and start with the lobster bisque followed by a freshly grilled lobster simply marinated in garlic, or you could take things to an entirely new level.
How about starting with the lobster carpaccio with aioli and coriander cress; or maybe try the lobster claw, chilled bouillabaisse with asparagus espuma or select some delicious lobster sushi – we recommend the lobster niguiris; simply divine.
We chose the poached lobster salad with crushed avocado and lime chili dressing, while our colleague entered the fray with lobster risotto with saffron broth and truffle oil. Both dishes were delightful, so good in fact we couldn’t resist going back for more.
The selection of lobster is vast with the chefs creating everything from the most intricate dishes to the more simple and rustic lobster pizza. The fiery Goan lobster curry was phenomenal and worth coming for alone, while the stir-fried lobster Shanghai style was perfect and mouth-wateringly good. Don’t worry if you tire of lobster, there’s almost 250 different food items on offer including beef, chicken and other seafood. We also recommend the soup with King Crab dumplings and truffle croutons.
If you like your lobster, this is certainly the place to be. Booking is essential.
