The Wolf of Wall Street (TBA) – starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and Matthew McConaughey, directed by Martin Scorsese

If America is the land of opportunity, the country’s infamous Wall Street is its capital of corruption. And that’s exactly where ambitious 22-year-old Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio) headed in the hope of making a break into the trading world.

The Wolf of Wall Street tells the real-life story of stockbroker Belfort who lived an excessive life of parties and wealth in the 90’s.

Convinced he had what it took to lead an army of stockbrokers, Belfort founded the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont out of an abandoned auto shop. By the age of 26, ruthless Belfort was making $50 million a year, earning himself the title ‘wolf of Wall Street’. He was living the American dream; his life soon became a flurry of parties with his wolf pack loyally at his heels. But when you’re making millions of dollars in just a few hours, more is never enough. With wealth and power came greed, corruption and a slew of temptations. With the FBI now taking a keen interest, Belfort’s methods for making his massive wealth begin to come under increasing scrutiny…

The Wolf of Wall Street hits cinemas this Thursday 9th January.
