The F1 championship comes to Yas Island next month. Are you ready for the high-speed thrills?

Back for its fifth year, The Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will once again dazzle and enthrall motor fans across the globe at the spectacular Yas Marina Circuit this November. Petrol heads and concert fanatics will be spoilt for choice as the after-race events from Yasalam and Flash Entertainment are set to make this milestone year one to remember.

The current season for Formula 1 has already been filled with brilliance and controversy so far. German ace Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing-Renault is topping the drivers table and by quite some distance. However, in this motor sport you can’t rule out other competitors, like Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton. Both of which are breathing down Vettel’s neck. Last year’s winner at the Yas track, Kimi Räikkönen, will surely test Vettel, who currently holds the record lap time for the 5.5km course.

The race on the 3rd of November at Yas Marina is the third-last of the season; no doubt the pressure from the pits will be spilling out onto the track making captivating viewing for all spectators. And with Vettel winning in South Korea on Sunday 6th October to extend his lead, the battle for second and third spot is far from over…

The capital will also be hosting three top music performances, just to make sure your evening isn’t finished after the checkered flag has flown. The 1st November sees rap legend Jay-Z kicking things off. Then on 2nd November you’ll be rocking out to cult rockers Muse before the final night of the race weekend where legendary electro-rock group Depeche Mode will tie things up. And if that wasn’t enough, the Corniche beach will also have an abundance of talent such as R’n’B songstress Ciara and Arab Idol winner Mohammed Assaf, to help you enjoy one of the capital’s flagship events of the year.
