Abu Dhabi Triathlon Team's Faris Al Sultan to lead the field

Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC) and Yas Marina Circuit have announced that the team founder and the leader of Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon, Faris Al Sultan, is set to participate in the inaugural ADNIC Yas Run which takes place at Yas Marina Circuit on 26th November.

Former World Ironman Champion and current European Ironman Champion, Al Sultan, will use the ADNIC Yas Run as part of his training ahead of the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon which takes place in March, 2012.

Starting at twilight under a floodlit track, the community running event allows participants to follow the same route as Lewis Hamilton, the winning F1 driver of the 2011 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which took place last weekend at Yas Marina Circuit.

Faris Al Sultan, who will compete in the 10km race, commented, “I’m really looking forward to taking part in the ADNIC Yas Run; it’s great to see a running event designed to appeal to the whole community from children right through to those over 60. It will also be a unique experience to compete in the early evening on a F1 track – an iconic backdrop to what is set to be a very exciting run.”
