The Dome@Rawdhat has become a magnet for players of all ages, currently hosting more than 12,000 footballers and their families every month to its indoor and outdoor pitches.

Now youngsters in the 3-4 and 5-6 year age groups have the chance to polish their skills following the launch of the ‘Mini-Kicker’ programme by The Dome Football Academy.  And judging by the reaction of the first group to enrol, the scheme will be a huge hit with both children and parents.

The programme encourages children to learn football in a fun way, with no emphasis on winning or losing, but on building self-confidence and gaining social skills as they listen and follow directions from coaches, cooperate and share with their team mates.  The techniques taught help these youngsters develop co-ordination and fine tune their motor skills as well as instil sense of fun from exercise.

“It’s wonderful to see the smile on the faces of the youngsters,” said Bambang Sugeng Bin Kajairi, CEO of Reem Investments, who built the Dome complex.  “They’re having a great time, and we’re getting a very positive response from parents so this can go from strength to strength.”
