Rising Emirati stars Al Dhaheri and Al Mutawaa to compete in October's season opener

FG1000a

The UAE’s first junior single seater racing series, Formula Gulf 1000 (FG1000), gets underway in earnest this October, with some of the hottest Emirati and expat talent set to battle it out for the most prestigious junior motorsport title in the Middle East.

The fourteen-race programme, which will run under the auspices of the Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE), Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management (ADMM) and the Dubai Autodrome Motorsport Club (DAMC), will feature races at both the Yas Marina Circuit and Dubai Autodrome.

FG1000 was created by GulfSport Racing to offer ambitious kart racers and young racing drivers the opportunity to develop the specialist skills and experience necessary to represent their country in international motor racing. Eleven drivers graduated from three-day advanced driver training sessions at the Yas Marina Circuit under the guidance of professional driver coach Andy Pardoe.
