Abu Dhabi Netball League gets new look

The new season of the Abu Dhabi Netball League starts up again next week, and it's bigger and better than ever with a brand new look

Obviously there is a new fresh look branding including new logo and a soon to be launched new website, as well as a new chair, vice chair and committee that have recently been appointed and are all working very hard to get the season off to a fantastic start.

Also new for the league is the introduction of Three Netball courts to the already well established Zayed Sports City. The purpose built courts, which are located at the back of the tennis complex, have been secured for the up and coming season. The courts will also be used for Abu Dhabi’s Intergulf squad training and the Abu Dhabi Schools Netball league.

The voluntarily run league, with currently over 200 women members, offers players aged 16 and over the chance to play the sport at a variety of levels whether it be competitive or just social. Regular social events, fundraising events and mixed tournaments are planned for the 2011-2012 season.  Anyone who is interested in sponsoring the league is gratefully asked to contact us.

The season kicks off with a ‘Come and Play’ evening on Tuesday 13th September from 7pm–9.30pm, where new and existing players can register for the new season. Any new players who are looking for a team to join are kindly asked to come along at 7pm. PS: Don’t forget your trainers!

The league is also starting a ‘Back to Netball’ session on a Sunday evening from 7pm -8.30pm aimed at simply getting more people into the game. This session is open to ladies who have either never played before or for those who want to get back into it. Come down to Zayed Sports City and give it a try.

Sessions will include skill development, games and match play but most of all fun!

Starts: Sunday 18th September and cost AED 25 payable on the night.
