Man City cruise into fifth round
Manchester City eased into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 4-2 win over Championship strugglers Scunthorpe at Glanford Park on Sunday. The City boss fielded a weakened team ahead of the Blues’ league cup semi-final against United but Roberto Mancini’s side were able to avoid the same fate as Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool – all of whom have crashed out in earlier rounds. Man of the match Martin Petrov smashed in the opener, Sylvinho and Nedum Onuoha added further goals, and Robinho completed the scoring with his first goal of the season in what could be his last game for City.

Abu Dhabi to host Laureus Sports Awards
The annual Laureus World Sports Awards ceremony will be held in the UAE for the first time this year at the Emirates Palace on 10th March. The Laureus Awards are recognised as the premier honours event in the international sporting calendar as stars of the sporting world come together to salute the finest sportsmen and women of the year. Winners are selected by a jury made up of the 46 members of the Laureus World Sports Academy – the living legends of sports honouring the greatest athletes of today. Proceeds from the awards ceremony directly benefit and underpin the work of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which supports over 70 community sports programmes around the world.
