Jalabiyas (or Arabic kaftans) and abayas to Khaleeji women, are what the little black dress to any woman’s closet – a permanent staple
So it is pretty normal that we are always on the hunt for that perfect jalabiya and abaya; one that is not only traditional, but also has a modern twist; feminine and most importantly attractive.
I have recently been invited to SEEN’s by Sumayya al Suwaidi first ever runway show hosted by Harper’s Bazaar Arabian Night at Mall of the Emirates.
Unfortunately I couldn’t make it, but luckily the pictures were posted less than two days later and the turnout was great!
One word to describe the collection: WOW. I have been love struck. The colours are vibrant. The fabrics are flowing and they are nothing like I have ever expected them to be.
Sumayya used a palette of vibrant colours, such as blue, red and green, but also pastels, and is definitely rocking fall's colour-blocking trend.
Ladies, the collection will be available at Grafika Boutique in Al Wahda Mall. I went for a visit last weekend and they even look better in reality.
The boutique follows a ‘limited’ pieces concept so make sure to grab one of the designs before they sell out.
I am eyeing the green jalabiya with the blue borders. What about you?
