Director: Duncan Jones,
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, Jeffrey Wright

After a bomb explodes on a Chicago train, derailing the locomotive and killing hundreds, Captain Colter Stevens (Gyllenhaal) agrees to take part in a clandestine government experiment to try and identify the bomber and prevent another larger attack on downtown Chicago.

Dubbed “Source Code”, the experiment allows him to enter the body of a male passenger during the eight minutes before the man is killed. However, during his first trip back, Stevens fails to gather enough clues to prevent the second attack and with time quickly running out, he must repeat the mission again and again as he attempts to foil one of the most deadly terrorist attacks ever to take place on American soil.

Superbly directed and cleverly written, this is an exciting, thought-provoking and emotionally engaging thriller that plays like Groundhog Day meets Quantum Leap with a dash of 24 thrown in for good measure.

Gyllenhaal puts in his best performance since Brokeback Mountain and is ably supported by the rest of a superb cast.
Whether you’re a sci-fi fan or not, this is a gripping film that will hold your attention to the very last scene. This one comes highly recommended.
