HTC is probably top dog when it comes to Windows Mobile phones, and the Touch Diamond was probably the best-looking smartphone it had built – until the arrival of the new Touch Diamond2. This has a nice intuitive touchscreen interface on a generously-sized display with near-iPhone clarity. Clever touches include a new fastzoom touchbar for scrolling and getting into web pages; a single contact view that displays the individual conversation history of contacts regardless of whether voice, text or email were used; and something called Push Internet for fast web page loading. And it’s just 13.7mm thick – not quite iPhone-skinny, but not bad. The retail price will be AED 2599, a premium price for a premium phone.
