The newly crowned UAE freestyle jet ski champion believes he is in the best form of his career, and is ready to take on the world’s finest in October.
Khalid Salem Al Qubaisi, from Abu Dhabi, recently landed the national title of freestyle Jet Ski champion for the fifth time. The 33-year-old is now focused on world championship glory and has recently introduced a meticulous and rigorous training regime.
Al Qubaisi said, “Fifth is my highest place at the world championships but I am determined to beat that and go as high as possible in the rankings.”
Khalid has travelled to Lake Havasu in Nevada – the site of the world championships – ahead of schedule in order to familiarise himself with the waters as best as possible before the competition begins.
“I am now just looking forward to the world championships and the chance to take on the best.”
