Walk the Walk
As seen on the catwalks of Alexander Wang, Acne and Phillip Lim, gladiators can instantly make any outfit look on trend at the moment. And what’s even better, due to the global craze of this trend, high street stores such as Zara and Topshop have made these sandals a more affordable option for the mass market. Here are a few tips and tricks to guarantee you’re on trend this season when it comes to wearing the right shoes.
Leather legs x-ing
This season remember that the bolder the better! So when buying a pair of gladiators, don’t hesitate to choose the knee high ones. These will instantly keep you on trend this season.
Never wear leggings or jeans with gladiators! These shoes are fabulous paired with a dress or skirt, for a casual day look, or even for a nighttime event. Just remember to switch up your accessories to take your look from day to night.
Gladiators should be the key focal point to your ensemble, so make sure you have minimal accessories and keep your jewellery understated in order to get maximum focus on your shoes.
E is for elevate
For the ladies out there who prefer to reach for the stars, be sure to check out these handy dandy tips on handling those high heels. Style expert Parisa says: “Always be comfortable in the shoe itself, most people think the higher the heel the nicer you look, but that’s not necessarily true!”
Opt for a pointy shoe; they instantly create an optical illusion and make your silhouette looker slimmer. Go for a bold colour. If you’re wearing either a plain or busy ensemble, a great shoe can add more depth to the overall look.

Whenever choosing a pair of heels or even flats, make sure you can easily and comfortably walk around in them, as you never know how long you’ll be walking around for.
