Pizza chef out to break Guinness record

Pizza acrobatic chef Pasqualino Barbasso is set to visit the capital to showcase his skills at Prego’s from 1st to 10th October.

As part of the Piazzaiolo promotion, a series of activities are lined up including Pasqualino’s attempt to break the world record for the largest pizza base spun in two minutes – the current record was set by Tony Gemignani in the US in 2006.

To beat the record, Pasqualino needs to spin a pizza base larger than 84.33cm wide, using more than 500g of dough. The attempt will take place on 9th at 7.30pm and is open to the public.

Prego’s is also hosting pizza-making classes for adults on the 3rd and 10th, and for kids on 2nd and 9th.
