THE third and final act for the Yasalam after-race concert weekend has been announced – with American hip-hop superstar Jay Z confirming he’ll be performing at the music extravaganza in November.
The international star and music mogul, who will be making his debut in the UAE, will no doubt thrill the packed-out crowds at du Arena on Yas Island on 1st November at the concert series that marks the weekend of the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 race.
As part of his already successful Magna Carter World Tour, the husband of super songstress Beyonce will be hitting the capital to join cult English rock band Muse and legendary synth-rockers Depeche Mode to perform as part of an incredible line-up of after-race acts announced by FLASH Entertainment for the impressive weekend of entertainment.
A pioneer of hip-hop, head of his own record labels and even having his own brand of beverage, Jay Z, also known as Shawn Corey Carter, will be looking to dazzle crowds in the capital with new material from his latest album, ‘The Magna Carta Holy Grail’, aswell as classic tracks such as ‘99 Problems’ and ‘Empire State of Mind’. And fans will no doubt be hoping his show might even feature a special guest appearance from his wife, with a rendition of their smash hit ‘Crazy in Love’…
Now in its fifth year, the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has not only seen the best drivers in the world put pedal-to-the-metal, but has also seen some of the finest acts in music from across the globe appear. With acts such as Kylie Minogue, Paul McCartney and Aerosmith all having graced the du Arena stage in the past, the 2013 line-up looks set to match that star-power for an unforgettable weekend of entertainment.
