The Abu Dhabi Media Company’s campus in the centre of the city is the site of the original Abu Dhabi airport – which is how the nearby Airport Road got its name. A small building remains from those days; thought to have been built in the 1950s, it features the only remaining authentic barjeel (wind-tower) left in the city. ADMC and ADACH are restoring the building.
