‘Extinct’ cheetahs born
(0 votes, average 0 out of 5)
Sir Bani Yas Island is home to four new cheetah cubs. Their parents are Safira and Gabriel, two captive animals brought to the island as part of a programme to reintroduce native species. The cubs will be ‘rewilded’ into the 4,100-hectare Arabian Wildlife Park and will soon be roaming under the guidance of their mother. The cheetah is classified as extinct in the UAE by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
