An engineering and energy research centre is challenging its staff and students to lose weight
Staff and students at the engineering and energy research centre Petroleum Institute (PI) are competing in a 10-week PI Fat Busters Challenge. Twenty-five participants have been split into teams of five and are going head to head in a total-body transformation competition.
The competition started on 15th February and includes group training, lectures on healthy habits and homework exercises.
The challenge is supervised by Shadi Eid, a coach for the personal training firm Arabian Muscles. He says, “The idea is that as the participants lose weight, they motivate others. It runs the entire spring semester, and may continue after that if there is interest.”
