Abu Dhabi’s students will soon be able to discover the potential of UK universities as a higher education showcase is set to return to the capital.

The 13th edition of the Education UK Exhibition (EDUKEX 2014) will bring 26 British universities to town on 3rd November.

The annual event, which is organised by the British Council, the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, aims to showcase world-class educational opportunities for students in the UAE with detailed information about each institution’s courses.

Marc Jessel, Director of the British Council in the UAE, said: “Awareness of UK higher education and application procedures has grown rapidly in the UAE. We are delighted to see EDUKEX expanding every year and achieving its goal of promoting the prestigious UK education system in the UAE.”

“Through the exhibition guide, we will help students draw full benefit from their visits by meeting with the participating universities. As a result, visitors will be able to find the right people to talk to and obtain the right information with ease,” said Jessel.

ADUKEX also hosts dedicated sessions highlighting visa requirements for international students, what to expect when studying and living in the UK, financial aid, scholarships and types of undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by HE Philip Parham, the UK Ambassador to the UAE, at Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi.

Among the universities that will be represented are London, Loughborough, Aberdeen, Cardiff, Bristol, Surrey, Leeds, Manchester, University College London, York, Glasgow Caledonian, Liverpool John Moores, Royal Holloway, Manchester Metropolitan, and the University of the Arts London.
