Starring: Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Christophe Waltz

Sufferin’ snakes! The Green Hornet is finally having its film-moment, having first captivated American radio and comic book audiences in the 1930s and 40s.

Playboy Brett Reid has to suddenly trade his partying ways when his father mysteriously dies. Taking over his father’s media empire, he’s soon exposed to the LA crime scene.

Befriending one of his late father’s colleagues, Kato, Brett and his sidekick decide to fight crime as criminals themselves.

Complete with a trusty, gadget-packed car –The Black Beauty – the pair do outlawing in style as they come face to face with the LA underworld. The costumes may be lacking ker-pow, but the action certainly isn’t lacking in this fast-paced movie

Rogen leads well as Brett, but it’s Chou who has our vote as quick thinking, gadget wizard Kato. This film may not bring out the same kind of following as the likes of Batman et al, but the wit, action and above all, good acting from the whole cast make this film a comic marvel.
