Director: David Yates
Starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint

The evil Lord Voldemort’s power is growing stronger and he now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are forced to drop out of school to finish Dumbledore’s work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord. But while searching for the ancient artefacts, they uncover hidden secrets about Dumbledore’s past and it seems there is little hope left for the trio, and the rest of the wizarding world, as the final battle approaches.

It’s the beginning of the end for Harry Potter. The final film in the hugely popular adaptation of JK Rowling’s seven-book series is upon us. Well, almost. As the title suggests, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 has a Part 2 after it was decided that Rowling’s concluding book in the boy wizard saga merited two movies, which kind of leaves the viewer feeling that this is an entrée before the main course next year.

However, the millions who have grown up with these films should certainly feel that they have had their money’s worth, even if the big, decisive moments and action set pieces are still to come.
