Celebrate the season with a family-friendly festival at Yas Marina

Put some spring in your step at the annual Springtime Festival on 4th April at Yas Marina.

Little ones can tap into their creative side with an egg decorating activity. Other attractions include arts and crafts, a bouncy castle, pony rides, a mini zoo with bunnies and an egg hunt around the promenade.

Shopping, anyone? Tiny Bean Events, the party planning team behind various bazaars in the capital, will set up a springtime market. Here, kids and adults can purchase clothes, accessories, handmade crafts, jewellery and home decor.

The market at Yas Marina is becoming a popular attraction, and the lines of vibrant stalls will no doubt add more colour to the festival, which is now in its second year.

The marina’s seven restaurants are offering Easter promotions for guests.

Stars ‘N’ Bars will have a Family Day Gala where guests can sit down for an a la carte meal while kids enjoy face painting, games with prizes and entertainment.

Iris is serving a fun family barbeque brunch for AED 175 per person. A children’s menu is also available.

The nautical-themed Cipriani, meanwhile, is offering a four-course Italian meal for AED 350.

The French/German restaurant, Café D’ Alsace, will feature a chocolate display. Why not grab some home-baked goodies such as croissants or fill up with specialities such as braised beef cheek?

Families and friends can further enjoy the scenic marina while learning about local culture and the environment aboard a boat from the tour operator Captain Tony’s.

You can also take out an eco-donut boat around Yas Island with Belevari Marine, starting from AED 200 for 30 minutes.

Cedric Le Rest, general manager of Yas Marina, says, “This is a great day out for families. We make it a point to balance the attractions so that adults can also find something they enjoy. It’s a suitable time to make the most of the nice weather before summer kicks in.”
