Reptiles revolt

TMNT

New York City is a rotting apple, as villain Shredder and his evil followers, the Foot Clan have turned the city into a grim and dangerous place; the police and politicians are firmly under their control. But a band of brothers, trained by their martial arts master, Splinter, are ready to take back the city for its people. However, these sewer-dwelling siblings aren’t your normal household relatives – they are mutant, ninja turtles.

With the help of vivacious news reporter April O’Neil (Fox) and cameraman Vernon Fenwick (Arnett) the reporter and reptile vigilantes enter the dark world of the city to take down the Foot Clan and of course, the vile Shredder.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles boasts incredible graphics and a sound score to boot. Amusing one-liners from Arnett, squabbling amongst the turtles and even Fox adding to the comic relief, this movie could be classed as a comedy, not gritty comic book revival – which is what we would have loved to have seen.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartwheels into cinemas this Thursday, 4th September.
