With just a four-hour flight from Abu Dhabi to Kathmandu dust off your boots and transport yourself to this destination of a lifetime. Once you arrive in the capital prepare to be bombarded by an assortment of smells and sounds. This hectic city is simply overpowering, visitors will be swept away in the hustle and bustle of the largest city in Nepal. It is the political and cultural hub, and it’s simply bursting with traditional values and customs set to charm every visitor. And what better way to explore a destination than to embrace the outdoors? With the mountainous north host to eight of the world’s ten largest mountains it is no wonder Nepal is a haven for trekkers. Pokhara is the starting point for a range of treks through the mountains of the Annapurna Range.

Exploring the vast region by foot will set your pulse racing. Enjoy panoramic views that will take your breath away. If your feet are aching then hire a boat and travel along the unspoiled lakes accompanied by a backdrop of snowy peaks. Embrace the natural beauty of the region by bicycle or motorcycle and encounter the friendly locals along the way.

Paragliding from Sarangktot is an exhilarating experience and ensures there is virtually nothing between you and the scenery. The villages are dotted with museums, caves and waterfalls adding to the quaint natural beauty of the area.

Chitwan National Park is a “welcome to the heart of the jungle”. This huge and stunning nature reserve is extremely popular with tourists. The picturesque lodges inside the park provide accommodation with a difference. Wander to Sauraha, a nearby town with a range of eateries, bars and plenty of opportunities to pick up souvenirs. A range of jungle activities can be arranged here and the truly beautiful countryside will wow guests. A safari will allow you to get up close and personal with the wide variety of wildlife. From elephant riding to bird watching there are lots of chances to come face-to-face with nature in its truest form. For the thrill-seeker travel by canoe in crocodile-infested waters. The region is an untouched wonder and definitely worth seeing.

The influence of Buddhism and Hinduism has had a profound effect on Nepalese culture. The locals have a deep respect for each other regardless of their chosen religion. Perhaps it is the stunning temples or the thousands of acres of untouched beauty that contributes to the relaxed and happy atmosphere in Nepal.
